Cool Ride uses a high performance, nonwoven thermal insulation which was engineered for confined spaces. This specialized material is highly thermal resistant with a UL 94V-O rating for non-flammability. All CRP Products are tough, dimensionally stable, corrosion free, mildew resistant and ASBESTOS FREE!

Our Thermal Reflective Panels are ideal for applications requiring superior thermal resistance in a limited space. Using a glass nonwoven, 95% average inorganic content. Thermal Reflective Panels are non-flammable and flexible. With it's special foil barrier, made with inorganic mineral coatings, this product provides high degree of heat diffusion. Max temperature 2000 degrees F.

Our other heat stopping products are made with a fiberglass fabric impregnated with a specially formulated silicone rubber designed to meet the rigid requirements for use in nuclear reactors and meets military specifications. This special high temperature, flame retardant, silicone rubber provides greater life and improved resistance to abrasion, flexing, tear, and puncture. Temperature resistance from -67 degrees F to 500 degrees F. See our Drivers Cool Zone for example of this special material.

Some Cool Ride ProductsTM, like our Muffler Covers, use a special non-woven fiberglass paper with an inorganic coating. This thermal barrier coating impedes the penetration of heat and flame to protect combustible material, allowing temperatures above the normal operating range. This enriched inorganic surface diffuses heat laterally reducing the "hot spots" and creating a more even temperature gradient across the surface of your product. This is designed for applications with a continuous use temperature of 1200 degrees F (or less) with short term excursions up to 1400 degrees F.
